Check emergency equipment and have it ready.
Fix and tie well what the wind can throw or drag the water.
Store loose objects such as flower pots, trash cans, tools, that can be thrown by the wind.
In case of evacuation
Secure your home and take essential items with you.
Stay calm and reassure your family members.
Listen with your portable radio to information or instructions related to the event.
Disconnect all appliances and the electrical power switch.
Turn off the gas and water taps.
Help alert your family and acquaintances.
In case of flood
Place valuable objects and necessary documentation in the upper parts of the home, and if possible, in airtight containers.
Be careful in places where water flows.
Do not drive on roads flooded with current and do not go through water that covers above the knee.
If the vehicle becomes stuck, abandon it and move to a high place.
